2018年日本写真協会賞新人賞受賞、佐藤岳彦氏のファースト写真集「密怪生命」の印刷を弊社で担当させて頂きました。南米からパプアニューギニア、東南アジア、日本。国内外各地で様々な生命の姿が独特の視点で捉えられている迫力の写真集です。

「Mikkai-Seimei」is the first photobook by the photographer Takehiko Sato, the 2018 winner of the new face award of Japan Photographic Society. All those lives, from physarum, elephant, or glamorous butterfly on viper captured by Mr. Sato ‘s eye has terrifying impact with majestic hook.

印刷へのこだわり/Print director’s note

印刷にあたり、暗部を締めに締めた強烈なコントラストによる立体感を出したい！というご要望（方向性）を頂いておりました。今回は紫外線照射によりインキを即時乾燥（硬化）させるUV印刷が対応できる限界までインキを盛り込むことを念頭においた製版設計をさせて頂くことで、暗部背景と被写体が織りなす鮮烈なコントラストを際立たせています。

As the printer, our focus this time was how to produce solidness of the lives by making vivid contrast.The key to create dramatic contrast was an ink density at its utmost extreme level. Since the process this time was in UV offset printing, we challenged almost an extreme level of ink density that our machine can dry at once.
